Do you ever get lost?

I apologize for our lack of blogging lately, but our lives have been changed forever! Our friends Leslie and Paul have given us a new obsession. The show is called LOST. Have any of you watched it? This show is so good and addictive that we have watched season 1, 2, and most of 3 in about a three week period (keep in mind there are 24 episodes per season and are at least one hour long). We no longer have social life and our evenings and weekends are filled with Lost. We spend time bundled in blankets on the floor. We try not to answer the phone and potty breaks are only used when absolutely necessary. I never thought I could love a sort of Sci-Fi show but it is great. We will be on Season 4 soon and it is only 13 episodes long, so we should be back to our normal lives quickly. We will have to wait a year for the next season. If you have any doubt, I challenge you to watch the first three episodes and you will be hooked. So bare with us, we will be back to the "norm" soon.

Week #5 - Travelin' Soldier

Tribute to Riley.

For those of you who have no idea who Riley is - He is a great American. He is also a great co-worker, husband, father, and soldier. Riley will be leaving us at Coca Cola in April to return to Afghanistan. He has been saying lately how much he is going to miss all of us. I think that is all setting in. I have told him a couple of times how proud I am of him for his service. I could not even imagine how it would be to leave your freedom and life behind for the freedom of others. I am so humbled that there are people willing to risk their lives for my freedom.

So Riley please be safe and return home to all of us - your Family and your Coke Family.

God Bless America and especially Our Troops.

Nerd Nite

Saturday night our friends Ken and Celes hosted "nerd nite". We had a lot of great laughs, and an even greater time with friends. We saw all types of nerds and even had some rebellious cool kids that showed up. I had some fun trying to pick out some outfits for me and my hubby. I finally went to the back closet and found my old FFA jacket. Amazingly enough after 10+ years it still fits. So I went as the nerdy FFA student, and Ryan was my wanna be cowboy nerd. (I gained my inspiration from Napoleon Dynamite) In the words of Tyra Banks we were FIERCE!! I even went to the extreme of drawing in matching uni-brows and fake pimples. I also sported a side ponytail, along with white socks and purple ostrich skin boots. Unfortunately I never had anyone take a picture of me with my camera, but I did snap some other shots. So here is to all the nerds of the world! The ones that are nerds everyday and those who just are nerdy on a random Saturday night!

Look at my hot cowboy nerd

Bonus - Song #2 of Week 4

Okay it is one of those sleepless nights. So to pass the time until I fall asleep - I am updating my playlist. I was able to find some of my favorite church songs. But for this post I am going to pick "I Love to See the Temple".

I just get chills when the little ones sing this in primary! I think this song has become more important to me in the past couple of months. Ryan and I completed a Temple Preparation class at church. We are planning to be married in the temple very soon.

I have attached some of our favorite photos. We took these two years ago when we were visiting Ryan and Shannon at Thanksgiving. It was the first time Ryan and I had seen the lights. Oh how I wish they could be up all year long. Enjoy the music and the pics!

Week #4 - I Hope You Dance

My tribute to Lexus. I know she likes to be called Lex or Lexi but I prefer the original. We have a joke in our house - I am always saying how I want a Lexus (the car) and my hubby Ryan says that I already do. Oh how true!! I remember she was very young when this song came out. I usually only sing in the shower, but I used to belt this out in the car to her while she would stare back at me in the rear view mirror. I asked her a couple of summers ago if she remembered those days and she began to laugh. I took it as a good thing like a pleasant memory. Yet sometimes I wonder if she was laughing at my singing! - I highly doubt that!! This song is probably in my top ten of all time. I hope that Lexus will always "dance". I hope her faith is always strong. And of course I hope she knows that no matter what I LOVE her! So please find it on my playlist below and enjoy!
